Today I took Chloe to the vet for a much-needed dental cleaning. We googled this a little while back and found out how involved teeth cleaning is for a dog. I’d say it’s money well spent, but then again I’m also $500 poorer. Since they need to put her under anesthesia when they clean her teeth I took advantage of this and had some moles removed. And although she’s too groggy to thank me properly I’m sure she will not mind next time she gets groomed. She’s been nipped quite a few times so that’ll be a relief for her.
She’s been my buddy now for 10 years. My how time flies! Feels like only yesterday I was picking her up at the pet store. I know, I know, don’t judge me! I was in my 20s when I bought her, you know I wasn’t into the whole “rescue” thing I just wanted a puppy and that’s how that happened. And honestly I wanted a chance to train a dog that didn’t already have issues, a misguided fear no doubt. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I have been very lucky with her as far as health issues go she hasn’t really had any, and honestly she doesn’t really show any signs of slowing down just yet. At her last annual exam they said she had some cataracts and that was pretty much it.
The poor princess is now recovering from her extensive vet visit today. Broke my little heart break to hear her crying and whimpering as she came to from the anesthesia. Must’ve been very confusing for her. Rest up little one, you will feel more like yourself in the morning!
