a bright spot in a dull day

Today I had a conversation with my boss and it made me feel good. I realized that my boss is a good person who does not buy into corporate America hype. He’s borderline a naturalist, someone who likes to take walks in the woods, who would rather climb a mountain than a corporate ladder. He made me feel like I’m not stuck in my role. This made me feel more free and motivated to be exactly where I am. And, perhaps most importantly, I felt empathized with.

I may not love what I do, but as of late I am accepting that it’s not forever. At least I’m doing it in good company.
